Ashton Judd, Naomi’s daughter, has stated that her mother shot herself. Wednesday on “Good Morning America,” Ashley broke her silence over the death of her mother.

Reason of Death
Ashley said the family asked her to go public with the reason of death so they could raise awareness about mental illness.
As she continued, she mentioned that Naomi was going to be honoured into the Country Music Hall of Fame. We lost our mom before she could see herself elected into the Hall of Fame by her contemporaries, she explained.

“We sisters lost someone very close to us today. Because of her mental condition, we lost our lovely mother. The impact has completely broken us. We’re going through hell, but we take comfort in knowing that everyone else felt the same way about her. Now we’re in uncharted waters.”
Williamson, the Public Information Officer, released the following statement to Us Weekly on Monday: “Since the investigation is still ongoing, we cannot release any information at this time, including any 911 recordings or film from any body cameras or police cruisers. A death investigation has been opened.
The sheriff’s department was the only one that responded because no other police force had jurisdiction there. As of right now, we have requested more details from the criminal investigation division’s detectives.”

The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday. As expected, both Ashley and Wynonna were present to accept their new membership. With tears in their eyes, the two cried over memories of their mother.
