Upon hearing of Vernon Lewis’s untimely death, Singapore’s comedy community was thrown into mourning. The stand-up comic, stuntman, and musician passed away on Sunday, May 11th, at the age of 36, due to a heart attack.

Vernon Everett Lewis Career

Lewis, who was born in Maryland, United States, became well-known for his work as a stuntman. He performed as a stunt double or performer in films such as Thor, The Green Hornet, and The A-Team, as well as in television episodes such as CSI: New York and Castle.

It didn’t take long for Lewis to make a name for himself as a singer and performer after he moved to Singapore in 2011 to advance his career at Universal Studios Singapore. His first taste of fame came in 2011 at the 20th World Orchid Conference, when he dressed like a flower and made the rounds.

ernon Houston resident Everett Lewis (59), previously of Beaumont. Last Thursday, February 13, 2020, in Houston, Texas, Texas went away.

On February 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., a memorial service will be held at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas for Mr. Lewis, and he will be buried in Anthony Cemetery.

The service will be under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the church, and viewing will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 12:00 Noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Mercy Funeral Home Chapel.

His son DeAndre Washington (Jessika) of Dallas, Texas, his granddaughter and three grandsons, his three sisters Mary Helen Hawkins of Houston, Texas, LaTonya Lewis and LaJuanda Collins both of Beaumont, his brother Gary Banks of Beaumont, his aunt Jerry Ann Ridgels of San Diego, California, his uncle James Trotter (Doris) of Baker, Louisiana, and a host of other relatives and many friends will miss him dearly.
