Police released disturbing footage early Sunday showing the moment a disturbed man jumped over a desk and stabbed two employees at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
As of the release of the footage, the 60-year-old who was believed to have committed the stabbings remained at large. Gary Cabana, as reported by the NYPD. His membership was terminated following two incidences of unruly conduct in recent days, and authorities stated he was upset about it.

He had planned on watching a movie at MoMA that Saturday afternoon, but when he was turned away at the door he became enraged and slashed two employees, sending other patrons running for the exits.

Police were unsure if the attacker had come to see the film “Bringing Up Baby,” which was scheduled to be shown at 4:30 p.m.
Police say that a 24-year-old guy was stabbed once in the collarbone and a 24-year-old woman was wounded three times in the back and neck. The two victims were rushed to the hospital, but their injuries were deemed to be minor.
Police said the offender stabbed both victims multiple times, once in the lower back and again in the neck. It is anticipated that both victims, who escaped, will make full recoveries at Bellevue Hospital.

On Sunday, March 13, MoMA remained closed as the NYPD reported they were searching for Gary Cabana, a 60-year-old ex-member of the Museum of Modern Art who jumped the registration desk at around 4:15 p.m. and stabbed two staff who had denied him admittance to attend a film.
On Friday, police said that the man’s membership had been cancelled for his continued disruptive behaviour.
The NYPD revealed CCTV footage showing a disturbed man jumping over the reception counter and crashing into a wall before stabbing one employee and forcing others to flee beneath the desk to dodge his knife attacks.
